How to install xp on laptop without cd

If I call microsoft and give the product key will they send me win xp cd? Or is there any other means to access recovery partition?

Hey there! I was wondering if you had any thoughts… My Sony desktop was running an antivirus software program when XP Media Edition decided to automagically reboot. When the desktop came back around, I tried to log in. Is there a way for me to reinstall XP — Media Edition on the computer without losing all of my information and applications?

I hit reboot not knowing what it ment and am still not sure. What I should do. I can boot to XP, but the computer logs off shortly after the Personal Settings are loaded.

There is a recovery partition on the computer, but I presume that this would only permit a clean install of Windows. But when I tried to log in by using my keyboard, I can log in… What can I do? I deleted the files so my computer wont start and I dont have the xp disc it says corrupt or missing file. Or have virus not yet figured out how to corrupt win32nt. Just wondering, thanks…. My Pc has this virus file, it reboots nomally, bu makes this laggy sound.

I ntried using some virus delete program which gave no use. I downloaded the Installation Cd, but when i press enter it says that thre is no liscene agreement and then it reboots. I need to reinstall no Cd ok now I want to know can I take everything off and buy another Xp or 7 How would I do this? Mamun, If your copy of Windows XP came pre-installed on the computer and the computer manufacturer has provided the CD, hey must have save a restore copy of Windows XP on the hard disk for future usage.

Locate the winnt Double click to open it and follow the instructions. Accept the terms and conditions and enter the product key when prompted. This will re-install Windows on the computer.
