Start by taking individual courses, then enrol in the associate certificate program. For more information, contact cad bcit. We offer flexible, self-paced distance education courses in civil technology. This intensive, hands-on course prepares the student with the knowledge and skills necessary for creating a basic 2D working drawing using AutoCAD. Topics include CAD concepts, file management, the viewing, drawing, and editing of drawings as well the placement of text and dimensions onto a drawing layout in preparation for plotting.
Regular participation in online sessions is seen as integral to student success, and will be monitored. Students are expected to be punctual and attend sessions for the full duration. Makeup Tests, Exams or Quizzes: There will be no makeup tests, exams or quizzes for failed assessments or for an unexcused absence from an assessment. Reasonable accommodation and allowance will be made when students are ill or otherwise have good reason to be absent in accordance with Policy Any student who needs special assistance in the event of a medical emergency or building evacuation either because of a disability or for any other reason should promptly inform their course instructor s and Accessibility Services of their personal circumstances.

Students with two attempts in a single course will be allowed to repeat the course only upon special written permission from the Associate Dean.
