Aetna President Mark Bertolini said the company has made "significant investments" in health information technology to advance quality of care, reduce waste and improve the overall health of its members. The partnership with Microsoft will take the capabilities one step further by allowing members to have portability, he said. According to Aetna, members will be able to log in to their Aetna PHR and transfer the information to a HealthVault account in November, where it can be stored, accessed and shared, as directed by the member.
